How Celebrities, Lawyers, Athletes, and More Benefit from Remote Therapy

One of my greatest joys as a therapist is the wide range of people I have an opportunity to work with. I am thrilled to be able to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with their own story and experience.

I have also been able, in my practice, to work with some very high profile clients, including athletes and celebrities. Everyone has mental health struggles regardless of income or status, and I want to make sure that each person has a safe space to get the help they need.

I have an office in person, but I also work remote, which is what allows me to see clients in both Arizona and California. One thing I’ve found is that, for this group – those in high profile careers that travel often and work odd hours – remote therapy often seems like the best choice.

Why Remote Therapy?

I’m finding that most clients actually prefer remote therapy once they’ve tried it. While some call me seeking in-person therapy because that’s what they feel more comfortable with, much of the time it is remote therapy that makes people that happiest. After all, there is no commute time, considerable privacy, and the comfort of being in your own home.

But for this group, which includes lawyers, doctors, athletes, influencers, executives, and celebrities, remote therapy is even more of a preferred option. That is because:

  • It is FULLY Private – When you’re seeing a therapist out of your home, or any place with an internet access, you are in a truly private space. There is no commuting, no walking into a building. In some careers, discretion is critical, and remote therapy is about as discreet as one can be.
  • It is Easier to Schedule – Lawyers, actors, and doctors, especially, often have extraordinarily demanding schedules. If you have to add a commute time to your therapy visit, it can make it nearly impossible to schedule in. Remote therapy means that you can find any quiet room at any time and start talking to your therapist, without concerning yourself with the travel time or interrupting your day.
  • It’s a Chance to Be You – Often, those that work in these types of demanding fields have specific personas they have to put on for their work. But at home, you can be your real self, without feeling like you need to be “on” in a way that might occur if you’re still out of the house.

While all clients may benefit from TeleHealth if it fits their lifestyle and goals, those in high profile careers tend to especially prefer it. If you’d like help, and would like to talk to a therapist that truly understands you, please reach out to me today.
